Tips for getting camera ready on your big day

Stressed about how you’re going to look when the professional photos come out of your big day? There are a few simple things you can do to ensure you feel your most confident when you step out in your wedding dress. Everyone knows how you feel internally reflects externally, so take note of these easy tips and get yourself camera-ready and feeling the best you can!

  1. Invest in a few facials: If you’re someone who wears make up a lot, or sweats it out at the gym often, your pores can get clogged and you can start to develop an uneven skin tone. Try go for a couple of good quality facials a few months before the big day and watch your skin transform. Facials help to exfoliate dead skin cells, remove blackheads and hydrate your skin. No amount of make up will be able to cover up skin that’s not in good shape, so do your bit to contribute to healthy and happy skin.
  2. Perk up that smile: If you’re a big coffee or wine drinker and you aren’t happy with the colour of your teeth, consider getting them professionally whitened at your dentist’s office about two weeks before the big day. Professional whitening can improve the whiteness of your teeth by three to five shades. If professional is a little too much, then try some at-home remedies like oil-pulling, flossing, mouthwashes and DIY teeth scrubs. Make sure to avoid staining foods for 24 hours before the big day too!
  3. Get enough sleep: We cannot stress this one enough! Try your best to get a full 8 hours of sleep in the nights leading up to your wedding, to avoid tired skin, under-eye circles and general fatigue. This also goes hand in hand with eating well. Choose a diet rich in fruit and vegetables that provide you with vitamins and minerals, as well as staying hydrated to keep your skin looking healthy!

It really couldn’t be simpler to get yourself feeling confident and fresh before your big day!
